What Am I Committed To?
As my breast cancer journey continues to unfold, I’ve found myself searching for real, tangible ways to support my healing… physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Here’s the thing. I’ve never been great with the word diet. Just hearing it makes me want to rebel before I even begin. I don’t do well with strict restrictions or being told what I can’t have. And I know I’m not alone in that.
Instead of removing everything all at once, I’m choosing a different path… one that feels more empowering. I’m focusing on adding wellness into my life rather than taking things away. I’m building a lifestyle that’s sustainable, not overwhelming.
I’m making a list of healthy habits I want to slowly incorporate, and I’ll commit to a few at a time. As they become part of my routine, I’ll add more. This is about long-term healing, not short-term perfection.
Habits I’m Exploring
- 🦶 Grounding… barefoot walks outside to reconnect with the earth
- 🥥 Coconut oil pulling for oral health
- 📡 EMF protection to reduce tech exposure
- 💧 Cold plunges to reduce inflammation
- 🥯🚫 Avoiding synthetic folate in processed foods
- 🥵 Sauna sessions for detox and relaxation
- 🏋️♀️ Working out to rebuild strength
- 🧘♀️ Meditation to stay grounded and present
- 🔥🧘♀️ Hot yoga to combine movement and mindfulness
- 📝 Journaling my thoughts and emotions
- 💆♀️ Lymphatic drainage massage to support detox
- 🏖️ Taking vacations without guilt
- 🚶♀️ Daily walks to move and clear my mind
- 📖 Reading positive affirmations aloud to retrain my thinking
This isn’t a checklist. It’s a commitment to myself… to feel good, to heal with intention, and to create a life that supports my health moving forward.
If you’ve been through something similar or are simply trying to build a better routine, I’d love to know.
What habits have helped you most? What would you add to this list?
Let’s share ideas. Let’s heal forward… together. 💛
